Possible Sundance '08 Feature List

A list of what may possibly be playing at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, taking place January 15-25th of next year in Park City, Utah.

Here are some I thought were notable..

-Brooklyn’s Finest - Director Antoine Fuqua's (Training Day), cop tale about three Brooklyn cops, who end up the same "deadly" location, after having taken vastly different career paths. Featuring Don Cheadle, Richard Gere, Ethan Hawke, and Wesley Snipes. Good ol' Wesley Snipes, never stops trying.

-Paper Hearts - A part-documentary, part-scripted comedy about Michael Cera's real-life relationship with Charlyne Yi ( Knocked Up)...

/Film reports "...indie insiders are already predicting that it will be this year’s Sundance break out hit ala Napoleon Dynamite."
(view a photo of Cera and Charlyne here)

-Adventureland - The reason I mention Greg Mottola's next teen comedy is because this shouldn't be playing at Sundance!

SlashFilm reports that the following are "Big May-bes"
very unfortunate..

-The Soloist - Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx pair up in what, I personally think will be one of the best movies of the year, The Soloist. A Los Angeles journalist (Downey) befriends an extremely talented, but mentally ill, Julliard musician (Foxx). Trailer here.

-The Marc Pease Experience - Pease (Jason Schwartzman), a former high-school music star, finds himself living in the past, eight years after graduating. Co-Staring Ben Stiller and Anna Kendrick. This sounds hilarious!! Not to mention Schwartzman and Stiller!

-Terrance Malick’s The Tree of Life - Brad Pitt and Sean Penn star in a story about a family with three boys in the 1950s, and the eldest son witnesses the loss of innocence. (This sounds like a winner!)

-The Road - An adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's (No Country For Old Men) post-apocalyptic novel The Road. Starring Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron.

and couple more I failed to mention such as Black Dynamite ("...homage to the Blaxploitation films of the 1970’s.") Hell Yes!!! and Terry Gilliam's next film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus which is on the "Big May-be" list for Sundance...theres always Cannes.

You can read the full list of possibilities here.
